On Thursday, October 24, the XXV Edition of the Premios Ciudadanos (the Citizens Awards) was held, a gala where Ferrovial was recognized in the DIGITAL AGE category.
This award recognizes Ferrovial’s efforts to acheive infrastructure committed to the Digital Age and to the technological advances that are improving residents’ quality of life by optimizing innovative applications and providing high levels of wellbeing for society.
José Sánchez Arce, Brand Manager and head of Institutional Relations at Ferrovial, was in attendance to accept this recognition at the awards ceremony, which was held in the Secretary of State Conference Hall for Digital Advancement.
The Premios Ciudadanos and the Consejo Audiovisual y Digital Ciudadano (both non-profit associations) were started 25 years ago to recognize and share the work of institutions, companies, and individuals working on projects centered on sustainability. For the second time in the history of these awards, Ferrovial has received one of these prestigious recognitions.
Projects that are recognized must be able to provide an adequate response to the basic needs of institutions, companies, and residents themselves in economic, educational, technological, and cultural matters, in addition to offering solutions to operational, social, and environmental issues, as long as the main objective is improving quality of life for citizens.
Winners must also be bearers of and spokespersons for social, cultural, civic, and democratic values and hallmarks primarily within the framework of the award categories.
