Ferrovial’s new Intranet, up and running since July 2016, has received an award in the “User Experience Design & Content Management” category.
Ferronet, Ferrovial’s Intranet, has won second prize at the recently held Intra.Net Reloaded 2017, event held in Berlin a benchmark conference where the best in corporate intranet solutions in Europe are shared – in the “User Experience Design & Content Management” category with the live votes of those attending the event. Ferrovial’s new intranet has been operational since July 2016, after more than a year of efforts for developing the concept and implementing cutting-edge trends in collaboration and communications. The new intranet also includes the latest SharePoint technology, providing staff with a single portal for contents and two-way communications through a subscription system which the user can fully customise. This new tool has a responsive web design, and is accessible from any device, with a particular focus on mobile technology. Special attention has been paid to user friendliness, dynamic contents and ease of use, something highly valued by the award received. The result has been a significant improvement in communications, with a single platform bringing together content from all business areas and topics, with language options to suit local users. COFFEE, our internal professional social network, has also been incorporated. The project, driven by the HR General Directorate and the Information and Innovation Directorate, has had the support and cooperation of all staff, managers, and cross-cutting areas throughout our business. Decentralised and collaborative team work has allowed us to develop this customised company-wide tool within the scheduled deadlines.
