On April 3 and 4, the 8th edition of the Smart Energy Congress took place in Madrid, focusing on the most outstanding technology projects in energy efficiency in such diverse yet connected fields such as Smart Cities, Smart Energy, Smart IT Infrastructure, and Smart Industry 4.0.
David Pocero, director of the Centre of Excellence for Energy and FM at Ferrovial Services, gave a presentation that was the focal point of the Industry 4.0 field, representing the company in the session dedicated to trends, opportunities, and innovation.
After a brief introduction, David Pocero indicated that
“Technical Management and Innovation splits off from business development as a competitive advantage at the organizational level”
In his words, this favors
“An open culture of innovation that generates and spearheads good initiatives along strategic lines along with our clients, which adds a "focus on technological transference in collaboration with the best partners in tech and business”
During his presentation, he highlighted a series of actions linked to Ferrovial Services’ vision in terms of Industry 4.0. From remote assistance for digitalizing industrial operations, to predictive maintenance by improving corrective and preventative activities, including core activity, such as energy efficiency or the drive for strong culture in terms of cybersecurity at the corporate level.
To wrap up his presentation, David Pocero stressed the importance that implementing
“An end-to-end solution has for the true vision of Industry 4.0 for the client, along with the need to be modular, flexible, future-proof, and trustworthy, taking on challenges for the client and applying technology when it generates value”
