This summer at Ferrovial...

In terms of new contracts....Ferrovial will manage a contract for the emergency transport service in Madrid. In addition to this, the consortium comprising of Ferrovial and Acciona has been selected to design and build the Clarence River Crossing, a 1.5 kilometre bridge, for 172 million euros. Meanwhile, Ferrovial Airports will head the consortium selected to enter into negotiations for the Great Hall terminal project at Denver International Airport. Over in Australia, Broadspectrum has  signed a four-year contract with nbn Co Limited to deliver high speed broadband services over the HFC (Hybrid Fibre Coaxial) network in Sydney and Melbourne.

Looking at company awards and achievements...

Ferrovial has been rated triple A by the Morgan Stanley Capital Index and has also appeared in the FTSE4Good Sustainability Index for the eleventh consecutive year. In addition to this, Ferrovial has received the Most Honoured Company 2015 award from the Institutional Investor magazine. It has also been a great year for Ferrovial Airports with Heathrow and Glasgow Airport named two of the best European airports in the ACI Awards.

In other company news...

The Ferrovial Agroman R&D Department and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology  have started the implementation of the Rail of the Future project. Whilst over in the UK, the 9 winning innovative urban solutions chosen in the Sheffield Smart Lab programme have begun their demonstration phase through test projects in the Yorkshire city of Sheffield. In other UK news, Ferrovial’s UK subsidiary Amey, will work with world leading drone technology experts, VTOL Technologies to transform asset management inspections.
