We present the summary video with the most important pieces of company news from the past two months.
Between last May and June Ferrovial successfully bid for a number of different contracts such as the maintenance of the UK sewage system and managing the environmental and maintenance services in the city of Trafford, both through the subsidiary Amey. Furthermore, the construction of a section of the S7 motorway in Poland with the consortium made up of Budimex and Ferrovial Agroman. On the other side of the pond, Cadagua, a subsidiary managing Ferrovial’s water infrastructures, was awarded the contract to create a new system of pre-treatment in the municipality of Trophy Club. This is the subsidiary’s first contract in the US.
Once again Heathrow Airport has set a new record for monthly passenger numbers, reaching 6.34 million passengers, up 1.7 on the same month in 2014.
In addition, over these two months, Ferrovial has received a range of awards such as the ESIC Aster award for its business track record, and at the Internet Day Awards 2015, where it received recognition for its LinkedIn profile, and at the first ever LinkedIn Awards where it was crowned for the work carried out by the company in digital communication. It was also >praised by the magazine Actualidad Económica for the Environmental Cluster managed in Murcia by Ferrovial Services.
In the area of social and environmental sustainability, as a global infrastructures operator and city services manager, Ferrovial signed the Declaration of Barcelona presented by the Green Growth Group (GCV in the Spanish acronym) within the framework of the 12th Carbon Expo (held in Barcelona on 25-26 May).
To conclude, in June María Dionis was appointed General Manager of Human Resources, having previously held the post of Manager of Human Resources and Communications at Ferrovial Services, thereby replacing Aguirre de Cárcer in the position.
