Wondo, the startup created by Ferrovial to facilitate citizens’ access to primary urban mobility services, and Moovit, a leading company in mobility as a service (MaaS) and the No. 1 mobility app in the world, were at South Summit presenting their collaboration agreement to integrate Wondo’s mobility solutions and offer users the most comprehensive public and private mobility app in Spain.
The presentation took place on the Innovation Stage in La Nave (Calle Cifuentes 5, Madrid), with Ion Cuervas, CEO of Wondo, and Nir Erez, CEO of Moovit, participating.
Thanks to this agreement between Wondo and Moovit, all of Wondo’s urban mobility services have been fully integrated into Moovit, creating a new app that brings together integrated mobility joint with services that will start in Madrid during this last quarter of 2019, and it is predicted to expand to Barcelona, Valencia, Seville, Bilbao, Lisbon, and Porto in 2020. This platform makes it possible to plan, book, and purchase trips on the different modes of transportation thanks to Wondo Tickets, new linked codes that can be redeemed with different operators that will come with different perks depending on use volume.
Wondo recognizes that cities need a more sustainable model for mobility that puts the user at the heart of things and optimizes the use of existing transportation, as well as new modes that arise. In addition to the obvious benefits in CO2 emission savings, using private vehicles tends to involve a much higher cost, at an average of about €500 per month (about €6,000 or €7,000 per year), so mobility as a service through all these new modes of electric transport is undoubtedly the best alternative.
Wondo, the Mobility Sponsor for South Summit 2019
Wondo is once again the mobility sponsor for the event this year, facilitating mobility for everyone who comes to the fair and thus becoming the best mobility alternative for visiting South Summit. The company is set up at booth 62 and at the accesses to the venue, along with all of its operators.
