Our construction subsidiary in Poland, Budimex, has been chosen by retailer Jerónimo Martins to build a distribution centre in the town of Parzniew, just outside Warsaw. The contract is worth 58.2 million zlotys (13.8 million euro) and has an execution period of 29 weeks.
This new project includes the construction of a complex of buildings, one of which will be a 20,000 square metre warehouse, along with several office buildings, among other installations.
Budimex will also be responsible for site preparation, the construction of roads on the plot, and planting green zones.
The company was recently awarded several projects, including the expansion of the Turów power plant, in southwest Poland, and of Szczecin–Goleniów Airport, as well as construction of the new Lublin Conference Centre and the future seat of the provincial government.
