Budimex to build the Conference Centre and the Marshall’s Office Building in Lublin

Our construction subsidiary in Poland, Budimex, has signed a contract with the Lublin regional authorities to build the city’s new Conference Centre and the Marshall’s Office Building. The contract is worth 89.7 million Polish zlotys (more than 21 million euro).

The Lublin Conference Centre will have 6 floors above grade, and 3 floors below grade with 52 parking spaces. The total floor area will be 9,800 sq. metres. and the usable area will be 5,100 sq. metres. The project is expected to be completed in April 2015.

The new Marshall’s Office Building, for which construction is expected to conclude in May 2015, will also have 6 floors above grade and 3 floors below grade, with 186 parking spaces. Its total surface area will be 18,300 sq. metres and the usable area will be 12,800 sq. metres.

Budimex will also be responsible for land development, construction of new underground infrastructure, roads, lay-bys, parking lots, landscaping and fencing of the area.

The company was recently awarded contracts to expand runway at Szczecin-Goleniów Airport, build a tram depot in Olsztyn and to upgrade a section of road in the Lublin region. Budimex also has contracts to build the Bojanowo-Rawiczde bypass on Expressway S5, expand the Pomeranian Gallery shopping centre in Bydgoszcz, and build the new Chemistry School in Krakow.
