The CIONET Vocento 2022 Awards in Tech & Digital Excellence were held last Tuesday, November 15, at the Vocento ABC headquarters. The award was presented to Lucía Flecha, the Director of Digital Transformation at Ferrovial. In addition to this award, Ferrovial was also a finalist in the Cloud and Architecture category, which was ultimately won by Madrid’s Health Service (Sermas).

The jury, which is composed of academics and personalities from the technology sector, was in charge of selecting the finalists and winners from among the finalist projects that were recognized by the CIONET community for their uniqueness and the value they offer society.

The event was presented by Pilar Sainz, the General Director of Communication and Institutional Relations at Vocento, and Juan Carlos Fouz, the CEO of CIONET, a global community of digital leaders. Both highlighted the importance of public and private companies’ commitment to digitalization and modernization. The awards for all the winning projects were presented by Jesús García, the General Director of Business at CIONET.

Some 75 projects from a total of 41 companies and 20 different sectors were assessed by the jury in the final round. There were some 59 leading partners and over 200 technologies and solutions used in executing the projects submitted to the competition.

The evaluation process focused on the criteria of Innovation, Scope (the project’s ambition), Impact (fulfilling the objectives and their impact on the organization), and
