Introducing Pacifico's first Trainees!

Local news

On the 21st March 2016, the Warrell Creek to Nambucca Heads project commenced the first four employees of their indigenous traineeship program. Each of them will be completing a Certificate II and/or III in Civil Construction, whilst working full time on the project for Pacifico.

From left to right below, Jade, Ron, Jasmine and Gavin have started an exciting chapter in their careers. All proud to be working for Pacifico and also representing their local communities, these trainees are here ready to learn and also have their own goals to achieve, both professional and personal.

Pacifico will have up to 20 trainees work directly for Pacifico on the Warrell Creek to Nambucca Heads project, all in varying construction and office based roles.

Jade Cohen (Certificate 3 in Civil Construction)

Born and bred in Macksville, Jade is a mechanic by trade and has previously worked in the Western Australia’s, Pilbara region mines. Jade admits he is not much of a socialiser, but more of a family man, so cannot wait to get stuck into his work here. He supports the Parramatta Eels as his preferred football team.

Ronald Moran (Certificate 3 in Civil Construction)

Ron lives in Kempsey, he is a small business owner and has worked hard on his landscaping business over the past 10 years. Now he almost owns his own home, loves rugby league and is a Manly Sea Eagles supporter.

Jasmine Drew (Certificate 3 in Civil Construction)

A proud local lady from Nambucca Heads, Jasmine is here to work hard and save a deposit for her own home. She is working hard to be a role model for her local community and other women looking to move into construction careers. Jasmine plays soccer and follows the Canberra Raiders NRL team.

Gavin Chapman (Certificate 3 in Civil Construction)

Locally born and bred in Bowraville. Gavin wants to save money so he can travel to Sydney more frequently to visit family. He also would like to be able to save money for a car and also a house. Gavin loves fishing and plays football locally for Nambucca Heads. Gavin supports the Canterbury Bulldogs, although he admits his first team is Nambucca!
