Ferrovial, on behalf of its US subsidiaries, Cintra, Ferrovial Construction, Webber and Ferrovial Airports, today announced a commitment of $100,000 to the OneStar Foundation’s Texas COVID Relief Fund to assist with recovery efforts in Texas.

The contribution to the Texas COVID Relief Fund will provide critical funding and resources to nonprofit and government organizations serving communities across the state.

In the United States, Ferrovial has donated about $1.2 million to pandemic recovery efforts, medical research, food banks and educational foundations. Commitments of nearly $700,000 were made to nine entities in seven Texas cities where its employees work and live, including Austin, its headquarters city. The Texas entities are:

    • Central Texas Food Bank, Austin/$67,500
    • Meals on Wheels Central Texas, Austin/$54,400
    • Houston Food Bank, Houston/$67,500
    • North Texas Food Bank, Dallas/$67,500
    • Tarrant Area Food Bank, Fort Worth/$67,500
    • West Texas Food Bank, Midland/Odessa/$54,400

In addition, the “Ferrovial Together COVID-19” has contributed $162,000 to the Baylor College of Medicine COVID-19 Vaccine Candidate project.
