Ferrovial is joining Earth Hour, the biggest global initiative in defense of the environment

Earth hour is a worldwide environmental event organised by WWF which takes place every year on the last Saturday of March. In an attempt to raise awareness on the threat of climate change, the campaign encourages citizens all over to demonstrate their support for action by turning off their non-essential lighting for one hour, between 8:30pm to 9:30pm.

Starting as a symbolic lights out event in Sydney in 2007, Earth Hour is now the world’s largest grassroots movement for the environment, inspiring millions of people to take action for our planet and nature. Now, it is not just citizens in their homes who partake in the campaign, but also major landmarks and businesses.

Join the Earth Hour initiative

You can also participate in this initiative by switching off the lights, computers, TV sets and all your electronic devices for one hour this Saturday. Our actions today can change our tomorrow, so join the millions of others and unite once again to #ChangeClimateChange!

By 2030, the target approved and endorsed by SBTi is to reduce Scope 1 & 2 emissions in absolute terms by 32% and in terms of intensity by 42.9%. The reduction target for 2017 in terms of intensity with respect to the baseline year is 25.75%.
