Earth hour is a worldwide environmental event organised by WWF which takes place every year on the last Saturday of March. In an attempt to raise awareness on the threat of climate change, the campaign encourages citizens all over to demonstrate their support for action by turning off their non-essential lighting for one hour, between 8:30pm to 9:30pm.
Starting as a symbolic lights out event in Sydney in 2007, Earth Hour is now the world’s largest grassroots movement for the environment, inspiring millions of people to take action for our planet and nature. Now, it is not just citizens in their homes who partake in the campaign, but also major landmarks and businesses.

You can also participate in this initiative by switching off the lights, computers, TV sets and all your electronic devices for one hour this Saturday. Our actions today can change our tomorrow, so join the millions of others and unite once again to #ChangeClimateChange!
