Ferrovial Services participates in the ‘IMPACT Connected Car’ program that will select the 60 best European SMEs that offer innovative solutions in the connected car area. This initiative, with an investment of 5.5 million Euros, will provide an acceleration program to selected companies covering areas of mentoring, coaching and attendance at public events.

Ferrovial Services – through the Energy and Facility Management Centre -, together with the collaboration of the Ferrovial and CI3 Innovation Department, participates in the ‘IMPACT Connected Car’ program, which will select the 60 best innovative solutions in the field of connected cars. This project includes Internet access technologies, smartphones, and other types of devices that can benefit driving by providing information on accident notification, online mapping, speeding or road hazards, in addition to interaction with other vehicles or transport infrastructure.

Through a competitive bidding process, IMPACT Connected Car, which has a duration of two years and a budget of 5.5 million Euros, will select the 60 best SMEs that present their solutions in the connected carssector and other related areas such as infrastructures and buildings, ICTs and TelCo, mobility and consumer services that must also be adapted to reach a correct implementation for this type of vehicle. The selected SMEs will have access to an acceleration program in which they will be able to obtain up to 60,000 Euros of funding and mentoring and coaching services and attendance at strategic events in order to boost their growth.

This initiative aims to find new value chains in the emerging connected car industry. With a two-year duration, the project is made up of 18 partners among which are: PSA Peugeot Citroën, the Automotive Technological Centre of Galicia, ISDI and the Barcelona Mobile World Capital Foundation. In addition, it relies on the participation of four SMEs specialized in the electric vehicle sector (Little Car, HEVO), cybersecurity (Argus Cybersecurity) and mobility applications as a service (BotCar).

All SMEs and start-ups that want to participate in the Program must register through the ICCar Community program corporate website.

Impact Growth Start-ups Acceleration Program

At the same time, Ferrovial Services is participating in the Impact Growth Start-ups Acceleration Program, which aims to design an acceleration and identification program for 28 start-ups in the Internet of ​​the Future area. Ferrovial Services leads the Intelligent Infrastructures area of the start-ups acceleration program.
