The Adecco Group Foundation and the Club de Excelencia en Sostenibilidad presented this award as part of the 3rd Edition of the Diversity and Inclusion Awards.
Ferrovial Services’ Trade School has been chosen as Best Social Inclusion Practice in Spain by the Adecco Group Foundation and the Club de Excelencia en Sostenibilidad at the 3rd Diversity and Inclusion Awards held on Wednesday, December 18.
The Diversity and Inclusion Awards aim to recognize the most outstanding, innovative business initiatives, strategies, and visions that have significant social and corporate impact in terms of diversity and inclusion.
"We want to identify the Diversity management models of large companies, SMEs, and entrepreneurs, as well as the most advanced strategic social and workplace initiatives for inclusion in Spain,"
The award for best practice in Workplace Inclusion specifically recognizes the best initiative and strategy for the selection and management of human resources to encourage workplace inclusion for individuals at risk of social exclusion at work.
Previously, companies such as Naturgy, Vodafone, Meliá Hotels International, Generali, Telefónica Spain, Leroy Merlin, Airbus, and Mutua Madrileña have received this recognition in their respective categories.
Since 2015, the Trade School has sought to improve employment skills for the most vulnerable individuals through theoretical and practical training in the professional sectors where the company works: street cleaning, interior cleaning, gardening, building maintenance, triage at treatment plants, etc. Thus far, 19 editions have been held with 300 participants, 74 volunteers from Ferrovial Services, and 29 hired individuals through the initiative. This is also one of the main steps in the strategic Training line for employment and social and workplace integration from the company’s strategic CSR plan.
