Ferrovial’s corporate video Hands won first prize in the Company Overview Video category of the 2016 PR Daily Awards. An Honourable Mention in the same category was awarded to Miami International Airport, Fiserv (Financial Services Technology, Mobile Banking, Payments), American Dental Association, Lockheed Martin, Cedars-Sinai and Bell Helicopter.
About our Hands video
Every year, Ferrovial faces the challenge of producing a new corporate video. Many such videos focus on projects, activities or company facts and figures. In this case, however, Hands is a tribute to all Ferrovial employees the world over who strive every day to provide the best possible service. The video is special in that the company’s daily activities are shown through the hands of our staff, be it sweeping floors in a hospital, building a new railway line, leading a project or operating a crane.
The Hands project started out in January 2015. Between January and July recordings were made in different locations in Spain and Portugal. In July and August the first edits were prepared, using black and white film and a 1970s look. The video was shown in October 2015 at Ferrovial’s Annual Meeting. It was then subsequently adapted for showing at the company’s Christmas party, updating the look and using colour. In May it was adapted once again for the General Meeting of Shareholders. The video was eventually published on YouTube on 27th May, with both an English and a Spanish version.
