This month Ferrovial has been present at a number of interesting events and participated in exciting initiatives. Ferrovial attended the Second Forum of the Spanish Green Growth Group at CaixaForum Madrid. Elsewhere in Spain, Santander City Lab presented its conclusions on improving efficiency of waste collection and street cleaning services. In the UK, Ferrovial Agroman organized a series of activities to honour National Women’s Day. In terms of contracts, a Ferrovial consortium has achieved financial closure of highways D4 and R7 in Slovakia. Budimex has also attained several new contracts including an Ikea building and a medical centre. Looking at company awards, the Toowoomba highway project has been recognized as the “Asia Pacific deal of the year” whilst the Toowoomba Second Range Crossing has been awarded the Best Road Project at Partnership Awards 2016. Ferrovial was also the recipient of the Business Transparency awards from AECA. Looking at the communications department, Ferrovial was the winner in the Instagram category at the Dia de Internet (Internet Day) awards. In other company news, Ferrovial has sold stakes in two Portuguese toll roads to Dutch fund manager DIF for 159 million euros. As well as this Ditecpesa, the filial of Ferrovial has created a new modified bitumen that prevents skidding on roads.   For the complete summary, watch a video about the June 2016 news here:
